President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Super Eagles following their 2–0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria secured the win against the Desert Warriors on Saturday, booking a place in the semi-finals of the tournament. Reacting after the match, the President praised the team’s performance and encouraged them to remain focused as they continue their campaign.
In a post shared on his verified X account, @officialABAT, Tinubu applauded Eric Chelle and his squad, assuring them of the nation’s full support.
“Go, Super Eagles! You have the backing of all Nigerians,” the President wrote.
Tinubu also urged the players to keep working hard, noting that Nigerians across the country are united behind the team as confidence grows over the possibility of lifting the trophy.
The Super Eagles are now set to face host nation Morocco in the semi-final as they continue their quest for the 2025 AFCON title.
