Barcelona moved four points clear at the top of La Liga after a comfortable 3–0 victory over Mallorca on Saturday.
Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Marc Bernal sealed the win at the partially reopened Camp Nou, extending the champions’ advantage over second-placed Real Madrid ahead of their trip to Valencia on Sunday.
Mallorca threatened early through Vedat Muriqi, who slid in at the back post but hit the side netting, while Jan Virgili forced a save from Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia.
Barcelona initially struggled for rhythm before Marcus Rashford injected urgency, curling a shot narrowly wide after cutting in from the left. His influence paid off on 29 minutes when a blocked effort fell to Dani Olmo, who teed up Lewandowski to finish from close range.
Rashford later forced Mallorca goalkeeper Leo Roman into a fine save with a dangerous free-kick, while Yamal missed a close-range chance before the break after Jules Kounde’s rebound fell into his path.
The teenage winger made amends in the second half, firing a superb strike from outside the box to double Barcelona’s lead and leave Roman with no chance. Marc Casado struck the crossbar as Barcelona pressed for more goals.
At the other end, Garcia preserved his clean sheet with a strong save to deny Antonio Sanchez. Bernal wrapped up the victory late on, breaking in behind the defence and finishing calmly with the aid of a deflection.
Elsewhere in La Liga on Saturday, Rayo Vallecano’s home match against Real Oviedo was postponed due to the poor condition of the pitch at Vallecas, while Sevilla’s home fixture against Girona was moved to Sunday because of adverse weather conditions.
