“Stop Manufacturing Fake Drama” — Fathia Williams Blasts Blogger Over Funke Akindele Birthday Message

Funke Akindele Breaks the Internet with Jaw-Dropping New Photos

Yoruba actress and filmmaker Fathia Williams has angrily shut down claims of tension between her and fellow actress Funke Akindele, calling out a blogger for twisting a harmless birthday exchange into fake drama.

Fathia celebrated her birthday on February 5, receiving warm messages from colleagues, fans, and her ex-husband Saidi Balogun.

Among the goodwill messages was a birthday wish from Funke Akindele. However, a blogger alleged there was an awkward undertone in the exchange and suggested a renewed rift between the actresses.

Reacting during a live video, Fathia dismissed the report as completely false, insisting there is “no bad blood” between her and Funke.

She explained that Funke’s birthday message was respectful and heartfelt, and her response — “Ose Iya Ibeji” (Thank you, mother of twins) — was wrongly interpreted.

“There was absolutely no tension between us,” Fathia said.
“Stop constantly manufacturing conflict where none exists.”

The actress criticised bloggers for intruding into celebrities’ personal lives and deliberately pushing false narratives for engagement.

The clarification comes against the backdrop of a previous misunderstanding in 2024, when Funke Akindele reportedly unfollowed and blocked Fathia over unreciprocated public appearances. Both actresses, however, reconciled in December 2025, putting the issue behind them.

With her latest statement, Fathia Balogun made it clear that the alleged drama is entirely fabricated, urging bloggers to stop turning normal interactions into imaginary celebrity feuds.
