
Arsenal F.C. have become the first club in the Premier League to score 100 goals in all competitions this season, according to OptaJoe.
The Gunners are also only the third major team across Europe’s top five leagues — the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie Aand Ligue 1 — to reach the milestone this season. The other two clubs to achieve the feat are FC Bayern Munich with 128 goals and FC Barcelona with 110 goals.
The record was achieved following Arsenal’s 2–1 victory over Mansfield Town F.C. in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Goals from Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze secured the win for manager Mikel Arteta’s side against the EFL League One outfit.
Following the victory, Arsenal progressed to the FA Cup quarter-final stage.
Next up for Arteta’s team is a clash against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions Leaguescheduled for midweek.
Arsenal are currently leading the Premier League standings, sitting ahead of second-placed Manchester City F.C..
