JUST IN: Court orders arrest of factional PDP chairman, Turaki

Turaki

A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has ordered the arrest of Kabiru Turaki, the factional national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Justice U.P. Kekemeke issued the directive after he failed to appear in court in a case brought by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

The judge concluded that Turaki offered no justification for his absence.

The IGP filed a one-count charge accusing him of allegedly providing false information to the police in a petition dated October 2022.
