A man previously arrested for stalking Billie Eilish has died after being struck by a train in Westbury.
Authorities identified the individual as Prenell Rousseau, 30, who was hit by a Long Island Rail Road train at approximately 5:38 a.m. Reports indicate he was running “on or near” the tracks, and the incident is believed to have been accidental.
Rousseau had previously been arrested in 2020 after repeatedly appearing at Eilish’s home in Los Angeles, prompting the singer and her family to seek legal protection. According to court documents, he visited the property multiple times over a two-day period and exhibited what Billie Eilish described as “erratic” behaviour.
“While we waited for security, Mr Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue,” she said. “My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused.”
Rousseau was subsequently arrested for trespassing, and a restraining order was issued against him.
At the time of the train incident, about 100 passengers were on board. They were later transferred to another train to continue their journey.
