Young Thug has responded to online speculation after a video of him dancing near a woman at a club went viral, sparking fresh rumours about his relationship with fiancée Mariah The Scientist.
In the circulating clip, the Atlanta rapper is seen walking past a woman who was recording herself dancing. He briefly danced alongside her before continuing on. Some social media users interpreted the moment as inappropriate, with a few alleging that he may have disrespected or cheated on his partner.
Reacting to the backlash, Young Thug took to social media with a since-deleted post to clarify the situation.
“Just was walking pass the camera and danced with a fan on some cool s**t don’t make it nun crazy,” he wrote. “And yes I already saw the camera lol I have a wife.”
He later doubled down in another message, dismissing the claims and insisting there was nothing more to the interaction.
“N***a can’t even show luv to fans lol I was just being nice and having fun with humans. I don’t know that girl or want to, no shade to her tho she’s beautiful,” he stated.
Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist got engaged last December during one of his shows in Atlanta. While they have publicly acknowledged their engagement, they have not confirmed whether they have officially married.
Their relationship has faced public scrutiny in the past, including during the rapper’s legal troubles connected to the YSL RICO case and various social media controversies. Despite recurring speculation, the couple has continued to present a united front.
