“People are dying daily, and all you do is put billboards everywhere???” — Ebuka Songs Blasts Tinubu’s ‘Expect More’ Campaign

Nigerian gospel singer Ebuka Songs has openly criticised the “Expect More” campaign billboards linked to President Bola Tinubu, saying many Nigerians have lost hope in the government’s promises.

The billboards, which have surfaced across several parts of the country, promote a message suggesting that more benefits and improvements are on the way for citizens. However, Ebuka Songs disagrees sharply with that narrative.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the singer expressed frustration over insecurity and economic hardship, questioning why such campaign messages are being prioritised.

“Baba!!!!
Please, we are not expecting anything again, the one wey you do issok.
People are dying daily, and all you do is put billboards everywhere??? What sort of rubbish is this?”

He went further to state that Nigerians can no longer place expectations on the current administration.

“Please, sir, leave Nigeria alone. We can’t expect anything. Thank you, sir. Your Government has indeed failed.”

Ebuka also condemned the ongoing violence in the country, adding that those responsible would eventually face consequences.

“Every Bloodshed will Continue to Cry out as every wicked man involved in all this mess will never go Unpunished. Amen.”

His comments reflect a growing wave of public criticism from notable Nigerians over the state of the nation.

Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike recently questioned the direction of the country, suggesting that expectations for change under the current leadership may be misplaced.

Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has also spoken about worsening economic hardship, while actor Kunle Remi raised concerns about the increasing burden on ordinary Nigerians.
