Onyejeocha Steps Down

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has formally stepped down from her position, expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians for the opportunity to serve.

Onyejeocha made the announcement in a message shared on her social media platform on Friday, describing the conclusion of her tenure as the end of “a significant chapter” in her public service journey.

Addressing the president directly, she appreciated him for the trust and confidence placed in her during her time in office.

“I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity you gave me to serve Nigeria in your administration. Your trust, support, and visionary leadership have been invaluable,” she said.

“Working under your Renewed Hope Agenda has been an honor and privilege. Thank you for believing in my capacity to contribute to nation-building.”

She also extended her appreciation to the leadership and staff of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment for their cooperation and support throughout her tenure.

“To the Honourable Minister, Permanent Secretary, Directors, and every member of staff, thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and partnership,” Onyejeocha stated.

“Together, we advanced policies that protected workers’ rights, promoted workplace safety, and expanded employment opportunities. Your commitment to service made every achievement possible.”

The former minister further thanked her constituents in Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency for their unwavering support, describing them as a source of strength and inspiration.

“To my constituents, you have been my inspiration and my strength. Your support, prayers, and belief in me have sustained me through this journey and will continue to,” she added.

She also expressed appreciation to Nigerians at large for their engagement during her time in office.

“Serving Nigeria has been the greatest privilege of my life. As one chapter closes, another opens. I remain committed to service, to progress, and to building the Nigeria we all deserve,” Onyejeocha said.
