The mother of former Big Brother Naija star Angel Smith has publicly addressed the backlash surrounding a viral video that has generated widespread discussion on social media.
In a series of posts shared on her social media page, she strongly denied allegations being circulated online, particularly claims suggesting inappropriate conduct involving her daughter.
Describing the accusations as deeply offensive, she said they were among the most disturbing allegations she had ever encountered.
“Accusing a mother of having threesome with her child is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard in my life,” she wrote.
She also warned individuals spreading the claims that she was prepared to take legal action against them.
“Y’all leave the problem of your country to accuse me of rubbish so be ready to face the law. I no dey play with anybody this time around. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” she added.
The controversy emerged after a private video linked to Angel Smith began circulating online, sparking intense debate and speculation across social media platforms.
As discussions continued, some users also accused Angel’s mother of using marijuana in the background of the video.
Responding to those claims, she explained that her use of medical marijuana was related to a health condition and treatment she received several years ago.
According to her, she underwent lipoma surgery in 2022 and experienced severe pain during recovery.
She said traditional pain medication failed to provide sufficient relief, leading to the prescription of medical marijuana as part of her treatment.
“This will be the last time I ever speak about my surgery. Fast forward 2022, I had a lipoma surgery and was given pain killers to kill the pain but it wasn’t working and I was given a medical marijuana just so I don’t have to go through the pain,” she explained.
Expressing frustration over the criticism she has received online, she questioned why some people continued to target her despite her efforts to clarify the circumstances.
“But some of you lot want to pin it to something else. What the f**k do you punk heads want from me exactly? If I just keep quiet, I am a useless mother and when I speak I am still a bad mum.
AM TIRED ALREADY,” she wrote.
Her response has since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users expressing support and sympathy, while others continued to debate the issues raised by the viral controversy.
