The estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Queen Naomi, hinted to her marital difficulties in a statement through her sister, Simi.
Recall that Queen Naomi declared her separation from her husband, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, also known as the Ooni of Ife, in December 2021.
According to her, she has tried her best to endure and make their marriage work, adding that she smiled through the struggle but now she’s done.
She also told her kinsmen not to associate her with the Ooni of Ife or call her the Queen of Ile-Ife any longer. However, the palace maintained that the royal couple is still married.
In a new development, the 29-year-old Olori took to her Instagram page on Thursday, August 29, to speak on how difficult it is for women to walk away from an abusive marriage.
Reacting to the post, her sister, Simi, said no woman deserves to experience a tiny bit of what she went through and is still going through.
She added that Queen Naomi has gone through enough and it’s time ‘to wake the sleeping dog’.
“No woman deserves 1% of what you went through, you have really tried and enough is enough!! It’s about time the sleeping dog wakes!!!”, she wrote in the comment section.
In response, Queen Naomi wrote,
“It will be a rude awakening you know when I am pushed I will rather die… thank you all for standing by me through this very difficult period, they don’t know what’s going on but God will be faithful”
