Operatives of the Nigerian Police have arrested the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa-Ari,.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had called for the arrest of Hudu over the illegal declaration of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Aisha Dahiru Ahmed, winner of the supplementary poll.
The police spokesperson affirmed that Hudu was arrested in Abuja on Tuesday.
