EPL: Man Utd set deadline to decide Greenwood’s future

Manchester United Player, Mason Greenwood accused of rape by girlfriend – Audio and video evidence

Mason Greenwood’s future at Manchester United will be decided before their first Premier League fixture against Wolves on August 14.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the decision would be entirely up to the club and not manager Erik ten Hag.

Romano tweeted on Monday: “Man United are expected to announce a decision regarding Mason Greenwood’s future opening PL game of the season on August 14.

“It’s only up to the club. Erik ten Hag will not be responsible for any decision, he will discuss Greenwood’s future right after the club.”

Greenwood has not featured for the Red Devils since January 2022, after being charged with rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.

The charges were dropped in February, but the 21-year-old remains under suspension by United, who are conducting an internal investigation.
