An aspiring musician has accused popular transgender celebrity Bobrisky of neglecting to promote his music or respond to his messages after receiving a payment of 200,000 Naira.
The artist took to his Twitter account, @gafgold, to share his disappointment and asked for Nigerians’ help in urging Bobrisky to refund the money.
From the screenshots of their conversation he shared, it is evident that the artist had initially approached Bobrisky to inquire about the cost of running an advertisement with him.
Bobrisky quoted a price of 1 million Naira, but the upcoming artist humbly explained that he could only afford to send 200,000 Naira.
On November 18th, he transferred the money; however, Bobrisky has since been disregarding the artist’s messages and failing to fulfill his promise of posting the advertisement on the same evening as the payment.
In his words;
“Hi, my fellow Nigerians, please help me beg Bobrisky to refund me. It’s not easy being an independent, upcoming artist. I dropped a new song, “Sokinso”, my first street lamba, and part of the influencer marketing plan involved Bobrisky. Payment was made to her personal account, with a promise of same-day delivery. But it’s been two weeks now, and since the payment was received, she stopped replying to my DMs. I’ve been messaging her every day with no response… This is a scam. You all should stop doing this to upcoming artists. It’s not easy for us… Bobrisky, kindly refund me before I take legal action… Thank you.

After Bobrisky noticed the artiste posted the chats, he finally responded to him and warned him not to respond to him again since he had decided to go public.
