Phyna, the Big Brother Naija star, has refuted recent allegations made by her father, Mr. Felix Otabor, claiming that he had not seen her since she won the reality show and received the N100 million grand prize in 2022.
Earlier this year, Mr. Otabor stated in an interview that Phyna had disappeared after the show.
At the time, she had advised him to sell all the cars he used for his business, leading him to believe that their lives were about to change for the better.
However, he claimed that his daughter stopped answering his calls and that the only way he could see her was through social media.
Mr Otabor said;
“I haven’t seen Phyna, my daughter, since she won BBNaija ‘Level Up’ edition last year. She hasn’t returned home since then. I don’t know why?
“I am a professional hearse driver, and when she won the reality TV show, she asked me to do away with all my old cars, promising to change my life.
“But since then, I haven’t seen her. And I don’t have a car anymore. Once in a while, the Vice-Chairman of our association will allow me to drive his car.
“I sold all my four cars because at the time, my daughter won the show. I thought that God had finally answered our prayers. I called her on the telephone, and she said God has blessed us.
During the pilot episode of her new podcast, Spill With Phyna, the reality star addressed the situation with her guest, rapper Erigga.
She expressed her confusion regarding her father’s statement and mentioned that she did not know why he would make such claims.
Erigga then inquired if Phyna had any evidence to disprove her father’s allegations, to which she confidently responded in the affirmative.”
