Following the Jack Grealish burglary, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has warned his players not to flaunt their wealth online.
Guardiola made his comments in response to robbers breaking into Grealish’s £5.6 million Cheshire home when he, his partner Sasha Attwood, and other family members were inside.
Despite the property’s security precautions, the incident—which happened while Grealish was overseas playing against Everton—resulted in the loss of £1 million worth of watches and jewels.
Guardiola then counseled his team to use caution when engaging in social media activity.
“The less they know what you are doing, the better. People are waiting. Waiting to see where you are,” he said.
Along with mentioning the mental difficulties the player will have, Guardiola drew comparisons to an earlier incident involving City’s Joao Cancelo in 2021.
