The current governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, reportedly took the embattled former governor Yahaya Bello from his Abuja residence following a security crackdown by the EFCC and other agencies.
The reason for the heavy security presence at Bello’s house on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4 is suspected to be related to an allegation of N84bn money laundering.
A heavy security crackdown by EFCC and other agencies was thwarted by Nigeria Police Force officers and armed men labeled as “Special Forces”.
Despite the EFCC’s efforts to enter Bello’s home on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, they were blocked by the armed guards.
An EFCC official mentioned that Yahaya Bello was inside Ododo’s car when they left the residence.
After Ododo left, the EFCC personnel also departed.
