Kanye West has stated that his colleague Drake made a deal with “the devil” by signing his soul away.
He believes that their falling out was due to Drake turning against God, whom Kanye represents.
Kanye West recently joined the ‘Like That’ remix by Future and Metro Boomin because he was enthusiastic about Drake being removed from the hip-hop scene.
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘The Download’ podcast, West said, “It’s like he [Drake] signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. This is his job, to go against God.
“Pluto [Future] called me, I went to the studio and laid that [my verse on the remix]. Everybody was very, very excited about the elimination of Drake. Not excited — we was energized.”
He alleges that Drake’s success is influenced by Universal Music CEO Lucian Grainge, whom he refers to as Drake’s “rich baby daddy.”
“Drake has a rich baby daddy, named Lucian [Grainge] and Universal. He’s like, my daddy control the spins, my daddy got the DSPs,” West said.
