The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is preparing to announce the outcomes of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
A press conference is scheduled to be conducted by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, in Abuja on Monday.
During this event, the focus will be on the disclosure of the results and associated topics, as outlined in a memo distributed to reporters in the nation’s capital.
The memo was shared by Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Public Relations for the Board, on Sunday.
Nonetheless, there are signs that the outcomes set for release on Monday pertain to the examinees who took part in the UTME during the initial days, with others to follow once the process of “due diligence” is finalized.
The board previously explained that the choice to postpone the publication of results for a short period was made to allow sufficient time for meticulous examination.
This strategy, as stated by the examination entity, was implemented to ensure the reliability and honesty of the outcomes, aiming to eliminate any uncertainties or suspicions, especially in relation to issues like impersonation, mismatched biometric data, and various forms of misconduct.
Over the past week, in excess of 1.9 million candidates registered for the 2024 UTME at more than 700 Computer-Based Test facilities nationwide.
