EPL: David Moyes to leave West Ham end of season

Following an official declaration made on Monday evening, West Ham United has communicated the forthcoming exit of David Moyes through mutual agreement, as his tenure is set to conclude by the end of the 2023/24 season.

Having spent a period of four and a half years at the London Stadium, Moyes departs leaving behind a significant legacy characterized by two prominent top-seven finishes in the Premier League, as well as commendable performances in the UEFA Europa League, where the team reached the semi-finals and quarter-finals.

The pinnacle of his accomplishments was achieved in the previous season, marked by a triumphant win in the UEFA Europa Conference League, where West Ham secured a 2-1 victory over ACF Fiorentina in Prague, obtaining their first major title since the 1980 FA Cup and their initial European success since 1965.

With the imminent departure of Moyes, West Ham has commenced the process of identifying his successor, signaling the commencement of a new era for the club.

“West Ham United can confirm David Moyes will leave the Club by mutual consent at the end of the 2023/24 season, when his contract expires,” West Ham’s statement partly read.
