Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has issued a warning to Apple Inc., stating that he will ban their devices from his companies if they integrate OpenAI’s artificial intelligence software into their operating systems.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, recently announced plans to incorporate OpenAI’s ChatGPT into iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Elon Musk strongly opposed this decision, calling it a “security violation” and threatening to prohibit the 1.4 billion Apple users around the world from using his companies’ services.
He made it clear that if Apple proceeds with their plan, users would not be allowed to bring their devices into his establishments.
He wrote, “If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.
“And visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage.”
