Denola Grey, a Nigerian content maker based in the UK, criticized African parents for pressuring their children into marriage, exposing their generation’s dissatisfaction.

He spoke on the Dressed To Confess Podcast about the differences between traditional and modern marriages.

Grey proposed that parents may be to blame for their children’s unsatisfactory marriages due to the pressure they place on them.

He feels that many modern marriages are akin to slavery and that many people are deeply unhappy in their marriages.

Grey clarified that when he decides to settle down, it will be with someone he loves, not just someone he puts up with.

In his words;

“When will you marry? When will you fix your marriage? How about that? I don’t know why they are so obsessed with marriage because a lot of them are not in happy marriages especially like the older generation I’m like so you want me to just like meet someone, marry them and just be managing them. Like, I hate slavery.”
