Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has refuted claims made by controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo regarding her arrest on suspicion of being the anonymous blogger Gistlover.
Kemi Olunloyo had alleged that Iyabo Ojo was detained for her supposed involvement with the gossip platform, which has been known for exposing secrets about Nigerian celebrities.
In a late-night Instagram live session on Monday, Iyabo addressed her fans, stating that she had received several calls and messages about the matter.
Contrary to Kemi’s claims, the mother of two stated she had been on a film set for nearly a week.
“We’ve been shooting for six days now, and yesterday we shot about 12 scenes,” she said.
Iyabo also mentioned her busy schedule, which included attending actress Fathia Williams’ father’s burial ceremony in Ikorodu.
Early Tuesday, the actress took to Instagram again, urging Nigerians to check on Kemi, suggesting she might need medical attention.
Her post read, “Special attention: Please, someone should go and check on Kem Kem ASAP…. she is at her finally stage….. she needs medical attention urgently.”
