Taylor Swift, an American singer, expressed her disbelief after a stabbing attack occurred at a dance and yoga class in the United Kingdom inspired by her music.
According to Merseyside Police, a 9-year-old girl passed away in the hospital a day after the incident, while two other girls aged 6 and 7 were killed during the attack in Southport, England.
Five children and two adults were listed in critical condition in the hospital.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and murder, with a knife being confiscated by the police.
Taylor Swift shared her shock and devastation on Instagram, stating that the tragedy of the attack was continually hitting her hard.
She wrote: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock.
“The loss of life and the innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders.
“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
