The passing of Afobaje, a beloved Nigerian Yoruba vlogger also known as Alli, has triggered an outpouring of grief on social media.
Numerous Nigerians who had a connection with him have taken to social media to express their sorrow, acknowledging that his presence will be sorely missed.
Reportedly, the vlogger collapsed while playing football at Cement Ikeja, as reported by Wahala Network.
The news of his untimely demise has been difficult to come to terms with, with a Nigerian blogger, @naijashimadun_, sharing their last conversation with Afobaje on Instagram just a day before his passing.
In their chat, Afobaje had sent the blogger money and had expressed his concern for those at home during the protests against the inadequate governance.
