Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that he is currently lacking the motivation to win the Premier League title.
Guardiola, who has won the last four titles in a row and is aiming for his seventh in eight years, is focusing on the upcoming league opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge instead of looking too far ahead.
“When we arrive in the last month and we are close to winning another Premier League, then that will be the motivation.
“But now? For me the motivation to win another Premier League is not there… for me it will be in the last month. Now it’s: ‘Can we beat Chelsea?’”
Man City have already landed their first piece of silverware this season, thanks to a penalty shoot-out win over Manchester United in the Community Shield.
