Marvellous Godwins Omobayo reaffirmed on Thursday that he is still the legitimate Deputy Governor of Edo State and continues to carry out his duties in accordance with the Nigerian Constitution.
He made this statement during a visit from leaders and members of the three recognized transport unions in Edo State.
He assured that he is undeterred by the legal challenges to his position and remains focused on supporting Governor Godwin Obaseki in driving the economic development and transformation of Edo State.
Despite a recent ruling by the Appeal Court reinstating Philip Shaibu as Deputy Governor after his impeachment by the Edo State House of Assembly, Omobayo continues to serve in his role as Deputy Governor following Obaseki’s appointment.
