JUST IN: Dangote refinery commences production

Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group, has announced that Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) will soon be available in the Nigerian market within 48 hours, pending approval from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.

During an interview with Channels Television on Tuesday, the wealthiest man in Africa highlighted the upcoming release of Petrol from their 650,000 barrels per day refinery in Lagos.

Dangote mentioned that discussions are underway with NNPC to ensure the swift distribution of the product to consumers.

As for the price of their petrol, Dangote mentioned that it will be determined by the Federal Executive Council led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The PMS can be on filling stations in the next 48 hours, depending on NNPCL.

“On PMS price, it is an arrangement that is designed and approved by the Federal Executive Council led by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As soon as it is finalised, which is what he is pushing once he finishes with FEC meeting, it can be today or tomorrow we are ready to roll out in the market,” he said.
