Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has defended fashion businesswoman Sophia Momodu after a real estate company publicly refuted her claims to own a luxury home she recently flaunted.
The incident began on Friday, September 20, when Sophia Momodu, the mother of Afrobeats artist Davido’s daughter, Imade Adeleke, took to Snapchat to show her followers a tour of what she claimed was her new home.
However, the celebration was cut short when the real estate company associated with the property released a statement denying that Momodu lied about owning the house.
In response, Sarah Martins took to her social media platforms to criticize the real estate company for handling the situation poorly.
She argued that the firm’s decision to publicly debunk Momodu’s claim was unprofessional and damaging to her reputation.
“Very unprofessional!! What if your so-called client bought it for her? Make una try dey rest,” she wrote.
