Cole Palmer put on a remarkable performance, scoring four goals in 20 minutes to help Chelsea defeat Brighton in a first-half onslaught at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old made history by scoring four goals in the first half of a Premier League encounter.
Brighton took an early lead, but Palmer equalized with a low finish after attacking Brighton’s strong defensive line.
Seven minutes later, he doubled his score by converting Jadon Sancho’s penalty, effortlessly sending goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen the wrong way.
Palmer completed his hat-trick in style with a sublime 25-yard free-kick, curling it into the top corner despite Verbruggen’s attempt to save.
He added his fourth just before halftime, capitalizing on Sancho’s assist for a dominant Chelsea display.
Brighton’s Carlos Baleba pulled one back, but Palmer’s performance secured Chelsea’s three points in the match.
