Amarachi Okoh explains decision not to promote sex-related content

Amarachi Okoh, also known as Marahchi or Ada Igbo Nile, is a notable Nigerian content creator and actress who strongly opposes the promotion of sexual content in the entertainment industry.

In a recent interview with Potpourri, she stated,

“I even screen the songs artists bring for promotions. If it’s a sx-related song, I won’t promote it. There are other creators who would do that; everyone has their style. I cannot endorse a sx enhancement brand.”

The actress, originally from Enugu and raised in Oba, Anambra, before relocating to Lagos for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), shared her insights regarding her experiences in Nollywood as a dark-skinned actress.

“Being a dark-skinned girl, I don’t think my complexion influences the roles they give me. I feel it’s all about the talent,” she said.

Marahchi also elaborated on her limits concerning intimate scenes in films.

“I haven’t kissed in a movie yet, and I don’t think I can. It’s because of my personality and the kind of family I come from,” she emphasized, underscoring her commitment to her principles within the industry.

Her decision to abstain from sexual content or scenes reflects a strong adherence to her personal values, distinguishing her as a performer with well-defined boundaries in a demanding industry.
