Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been named England Men’s Player of the Year for 2023/24.
The English Football Association made this announcement on Tuesday.
Palmer, 22, took first place in fan voting, beating Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who finished second and third, respectively.
Palmer has had an enormous effect for England since his debut in November 2023.
He notably scored on his first start against Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2024 and netted England’s only goal in the 2-1 Euro 2024 final loss to Spain.
He also provided a crucial assist in the semifinal victory over the Netherlands.
The former Manchester City player has also been in exceptional form at the club level, scoring 22 Premier League goals last season.
He has also added six more in seven appearances this campaign.
Palmer is preparing for upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland with the England squad.
