A two-story structure has fallen on Amusu Street, located in the Orile Iganmu region of Lagos State.
The event occurred in the early hours of Monday, October 14, 2024.
In a video circulating online, the building crumbled while nearby residents rushed to find safety.
Reports indicate that there were no injuries reported.
An official who spoke to Punch confirmed that the building had been evacuated prior to its collapse.
“I can confirm to you that the incident happened this morning but there were no casualties. An evacuation already took place before the collapse.”
The LASEMA source additionally mentioned that emergency responders were already present at the scene of the incident.
