Angel Reese is trending because she recently stated that her WNBA pay is insufficient to support her expenses.
On Wednesday, October 16, Instagram user @livebitez posted footage from Reese’s recent livestream. In the film, the Chicago Sky player told fans,
“I hope y’all know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all.”
“I don’t even think that pays one of my bills,” Reese added. “Literally. I’m trying to think of the rent for where I stay at… Let me do the math… I don’t even know my salary. 74? Okay…”
At that time, one of Reese’s friends took over the computations. Finally, Reese told followers, “I’m living above my means!”
The WNBA baller said that her monthly rent is $8,000 and her WNBA salary does not “pay a thing.”
