Liam Payne, a former member of the hit boy band One Direction, died in a hotel in Buenos Aires.
Payne, 31, is alleged to have fallen from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires’ renowned Palermo area.
The performer has visited Argentina several times before and traveled earlier this month to play at the Movistar Arena.
The police are currently examining whether it was an accident or a possible suicide.
Police sources said that officers at the Comisaría Vecinal 14 B police station received a call earlier in the day reporting the presence of a man acting aggressively, potentially under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered Payne’s body.
Paramedics then confirmed the death of the musician.
