Karol G emerged as the predominant victor at the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
She secured a remarkable total of eight accolades, which included the titles of Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year.
Karol G‘s song Qlona, in collaboration with Peso Pluma, garnered the prestigious awards for Hot Latin Song of the Year and Streaming Song of the Year.
Neither of the artists was present at the ceremony to accept their accolades.
Similarly, Bad Bunny was absent, despite receiving six awards, one of which was Artist of the Year. His album Nadie Sabe lo que Va a Pasar Mañana was honored as Top Latin Album of the Year.
Peso Pluma also achieved six awards, including the distinguished recognition of Songwriter of the Year.
Xavi was awarded the esteemed title of Artist of the Year, New. The young Mexican music luminary approached the stage with a sense of disbelief to accept his award.
“I can’t believe it,” he said. “I really was super excited just to be chosen, and I’m super grateful to everyone who supported us and believed in us from the beginning. I’m getting sentimental, compadre, but really, thanks to all of you.”
