Sade Makes a Comeback with 'Young Lion' – Her First New Track in 6 Years

Nearly 15 years have passed since Sade’s last album, ‘Soldier of Love’ (2010), but she hasn’t abandoned them without fresh music.

After releasing standalone songs ‘Spring in the City’ (2016), ‘Flower of the Universe’ (2018), and ‘The Big Unknown’ (2018), the R&B icon returns with another offering unattached to a studio project, ‘Young Lion.’

“Young man / It’s been so heavy for you / You must have felt so alone / The anguish and pain / I should’ve known / With such a heavy burden / You had to carry all on your own / Forgive me, son,” she sings on the heart-tugging tune.

The proud mom of transgender son Izaak Theo Adu, ‘Lion’ comes as Sade’s contribution to ‘Transa‘ – a new compilation album by the AID/HIV relief charity organization Red Hot to support trans and non-binary awareness.
