EPL: ‘I make mistakes, but I don’t like that’ – Guardiola speaks on his behaviour in the Dressing Room

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that he is not “proud” of his intense outbursts in the dressing room but acknowledges that he struggles to control himself.

Guardiola‘s emotional side was revealed in a preview of City’s upcoming documentary, Together: 4-In-A-Row.

In one scene, the 53-year-old is shown passionately shouting at his team, emphasizing the difficulty of winning four Premier League titles in a row.

The 90-minute documentary also captures moments when Guardiola’s frustration reached a boiling point during matches against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, leading to red cards and penalties that left him seething in the dressing room.

However, reflecting on his actions, Guardiola admitted: “I’m not really proud sometimes, right after the game, when I’m angry for my emotions to pass it on to the players.

“I am a human being; I make mistakes, but I don’t like that. At that moment, 10 men down and then giving away an unnecessary penalty, sometimes I cannot control myself either.”
