Scarlet Vas, who played policewoman Mishti Sharma in Neighbours, is expecting a baby girl with her husband Tayo Ricci next month.
The couple, who met as kids in Melbourne, got close after their parents started dating, converting their relationship from stepfamily to loving partners.
They married on the Greek island of Mykonos in September of last year, and they documented their pregnancy journey on Instagram, including an intimate video of their positive pregnancy test and ultrasound photos of their baby’s heartbeat.
The video was captioned ‘Baby Ricci. Our Christmas Miracle.’
Despite facing potential criticism about their unconventional relationship, Scarlet remains unfazed.
“I don’t really read our comments section, but if I do, I actually laugh. We find trolls very entertaining,” she told news.com.au.
She added that they sometimes respond to negative comments as a “disarming tactic.”
At their wedding, Scarlet wore a white boho-inspired BERT gown with her hair styled in an elegant updo and later loosened into soft curls, complemented by a diamond headpiece.
The couple’s wedding video, shared on Instagram, drew mixed reactions from fans.
