Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has revealed that she does not fully trust her husband after seven years of marriage.
Daniel was a guest on the latest episode of The Toyosi Podcast. He asked, “Do you trust me 100 percent after seven years of marriage?”
She elaborated, “I’ve spent these years with you; I know you to a large extent and I’m getting to know you better. I think that you will do your absolute best to honour your vows and honour what we have. But I’m also aware that things happen. And I feel like if anything ever happens, I would know.”
Daniel expressed his appreciation for his wife, saying, “I feel like you were sent by God into my life. To be honest, I really can’t imagine myself with anyone else.
You have been such a formidable partner; you have been very present. You have been a driving force for our family. You have been very deliberate in being my wife and being mother to our children. You have been very kind; you have been very thoughtful.”
He acknowledged their challenges: “We have had very tough days; we have had very dark times, times I thought we wouldn’t survive. We have had those moments we didn’t want to see each other, we didn’t want to be with each other.”
Despite these challenges, Daniel reflected positively on their relationship, “The sum total of it all has been fulfilling.”
Daniel and Toyosi married in November 2017. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in January 2019.
They announced the birth of their son in 2021 and celebrated the birth of their third child in March 2024.
