U.S. President Donald Trump has weighed in on Taylor Swift’s reception at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
The singer was met with boos when she appeared on the jumbotron at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana during the big game.
In a viral video of the moment, Swift shrugged off the boos with a side-eye to the camera and a comical glance around the stadium. She shared a smile with her rapper friend Ice Spice and seemingly asked another friend, “What’s happening?”
Shortly after, Serena Williams, who had made a dancing appearance during Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show, showed her support for Swift.
“I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo (sic)!!” she wrote on X.
Meanwhile, Trump took a different approach and trolled Swift by posting side-by-side clips showing the Super Bowl crowd cheering for him and booing for her.
Writing on the Truth Social platform, he added, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”

While Trump suggested that it was his supporters booing Swift due to her endorsement of his rival Kamala Harris, it is more likely that she was being booed by Philadelphia Eagles fans, as she is in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
After the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss, Kelce spoke to reporters in the locker room and acknowledged that the team had not performed their best.
“You don’t lose like that without everything going bad,” he said in a sombre interview posted on social media. “(We) just couldn’t find that spark, we couldn’t find that momentum.”
