Controversial musician Portable, also known as Habeeb Okikiola, has finally revealed the meaning behind his Instagram alias “Elizabeth Joyce”.
Known for his tumultuous reputation, Portable recently discussed the origin of his mysterious online name, which has perplexed his fans and followers.
In an interview with content creator Egungun of Lagos, the singer explained that “Elizabeth Joyce” hails from his past, back when he was involved in fraudulent activities like internet scams, commonly referred to as “Yahoo”. This led him to create his first Instagram account using the pseudonym.
Portable confessed that he previously used a photo of a white woman as his profile picture on the platform, a persona he left behind when he found success in the music industry. However, he opted to keep the name “Elizabeth Joyce” as a remnant of his past.
