Pop sensation Justin Bieber has refuted claims of being broke, labeling them as “clickbait stupidity” in a recent statement released by his team.
The 31-year-old singer asserted that the sources of these reports are individuals who are simply bitter about no longer being part of his team.
The statement was a direct response to an article in The Hollywood Reporter where a former employee alleged that Justin Bieber was facing significant financial turmoil, despite his immense success in the music industry.
But in a statement released to Us Weekly, Bieber’s team said: “This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin.
“As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”
The rumors of financial strain come as Bieber recently announced the cancellation of his highly-anticipated Justice World Tour, which had faced multiple delays due to health issues.
Originally set to kick off in 2020, the tour was postponed first due to the pandemic and then once again in 2022 after Justin Bieber was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, resulting in temporary facial paralysis.
The decision to indefinitely cancel the remaining tour dates was made in March 2023, leaving fans disappointed but understanding of the singer’s health concerns.
