Famed Nigerian hair vendor and entrepreneur, Wanneka, shares her terrifying experience surviving a fire with her family.
In a recent Instagram post, Wanneka recounted the harrowing incident that took place in the early hours of the morning, around 2:18 am.
The fire erupted dangerously close to her bed, where she, her husband, and their baby were sleeping peacefully.
“2.18am last night right behind our bed. With my husband and our infant. Once again God did this thing”, She stated.
Before the fire broke out, Wanneka and her husband had been enjoying a movie together on the couch, before she fell asleep and moved to bed.
Suddenly, she was awakened by her husband’s urgent voice, alerting her to the fire. Acting quickly, she and her husband managed to escape with their son, though he sustained injuries during their escape.
“The fire started and ended here without getting on every thick curtains just next to the switch. What if hubby didn’t wake uo early?. What if we were all sleeping do deep?”, She added.
Nonetheless, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to her creator, acknowledging that though traumatized, they remained alive and healthy.
