Singer Kehlani has been removed from the lineup of New York City’s SummerStage concert series amid ongoing fallout over her public support for Palestine and criticism of Israel.
The GRAMMY-nominated artist was initially set to headline “Pride with Kehlani” on June 26 in Central Park, but organizers cited security concerns and political backlash following her cancellation by Cornell University for similar remarks.
While Kehlani has yet to release an official statement, she subtly responded via Instagram, writing, “I just found that one out on Instagram by the way.”
The move has sparked debate around artistic freedom, safety, and political expression as tensions continue globally over the Israel-Palestine conflict.
