Former Big Brother Naija star, Doyin David, is calling out a problematic trend in modern dating — the instant sexualization of women by men.
Speaking during a recent episode of Thanks For Coming, a dating-themed talk show hosted by Grand Prince Ita, Doyin addressed how many men focus solely on a woman’s physical appeal instead of taking time to understand her personality and values.
“Most times when a guy meets a girl, it’s very easy for them to s3xualise her. What’s s3x going to look like with this person, without getting to know the person. S3x is important to me, but I’m a whole human being outside of my vag!na,” she stated boldly.
“Dating in Nigeria is Hectic”
Doyin also opened up about the challenges of navigating the dating scene in Nigeria, describing it as “an extreme sport.”
She revealed that she hasn’t gone on a date in months due to the stress and unpredictability of modern relationships.
“It’s been a minute, to be honest. A couple of months ago. Dating in Nigeria these days is an extreme sport. It’s hectic,” she said.
On Love, Submission, and the Right Man
Despite her frustrations, Doyin made it clear that she’s still open to love and emotional vulnerability — but only for someone who genuinely earns it.
“I will be submissive for the right man,” she noted.
When asked about her ideal partner, the reality star emphasized emotional intelligence and attentiveness as essential traits.
According to her, a man who listens actively and adjusts his behavior in response to her concerns demonstrates maturity and love.
