Peter Obi, Obidients afraid of me – Reno Omokri

Toke Makinwa shades Reno Omokri over rumour of his baby with UK based lover

Political analyst and former presidential aide Reno Omokri stirred controversy on Wednesday during an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today, where he boldly declared that he is not afraid of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

In fact, Reno Omokri claimed the reverse is true — that Peter Obi is actually afraid of him.

“I mean, how can I be afraid of Peter Obi? Peter Obi is one that is afraid of me,” Omokri stated during the broadcast.

The comment came as he addressed mounting social media backlash from ‘Obidients’ — the nickname for Peter Obi’s highly active and passionate supporters. Reno Omokri alleged that the attacks he receives from them, including from Obi’s official spokesman Valentine, are evidence of fear and intimidation from Obi’s camp.

“His spokesman, his official spokesman Valentine, every single day, he’s on my Facebook profile, my X status, profile and on Instagram, insulting me, attacking me every single day. I challenge Nigerians to go there. Why? Because they are afraid of me,” he added.

Omokri, a former critic of President Bola Tinubu, has in recent months declared support for the president, a shift that has brought criticism from various quarters, particularly among supporters of Obi.
