A Texas-based influencer known online as @TheeHtxHottiee is sharing her harrowing experience after a second Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery in Mexico turned into a life-threatening ordeal.
The 30-year-old content creator, who frequently posts glamorous photos and lifestyle videos to her thousands of followers on TikTok, Instagram, and X, revealed that her most recent cosmetic procedure left her with severe infections, multiple emergency surgeries, and a figure she now regrets.
“I went for a tummy tuck and a BBL,” she said in a TikTok video. “My BBL is TOO big — and it nearly killed me.”
The influencer explained that she was in surgery for twice the scheduled time, lost a dangerous amount of blood, and required six blood transfusions. What she hoped would enhance her body instead led to five emergency procedures and a painful skin graft.
“I was admitted into a U.S. hospital for almost four months due to a bloodstream infection and complications from my tummy tuck,” she added. “They had to take skin from my thighs to repair my stomach.”
She also described how the language barrier in Mexico caused hours of silence during surgery, leaving her family panicked and fearing the worst.
“My mother and twin sister thought I was dead. They started driving down to Mexico before I even woke up.”
Though her first BBL was successful, this second, more “extreme” operation left her with physical and emotional scars. She’s now using her platform to warn others about the risks of medical tourism and the dangers of chasing unrealistic body ideals.
“People don’t always see the dangerous side,” she said. “I wanted to be honest about what happened. It wasn’t worth it.”
