Country music star LeAnn Rimes had to make a quick dash offstage after her front teeth fell out during a live performance.
The 42-year-old singer revealed that she was in the middle of singing One Way Ticket at The Skagit Casino Resort in Washington when she felt a sudden “pop.”
LeAnn Rimes shared the unexpected moment in a video posted to her Instagram, saying she instantly knew what had happened—her dental implant had come loose.
“Last night I was on stage, in the middle of One Way Ticket, I feel something pop in my mouth,” the How Do I Live singer said.
LeAnn Rimes explained that following multiple dental surgeries over the years, her front teeth had been replaced by a bridge. That bridge unexpectedly detached from her gumline mid-song.
“And if you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night,” LeAnn explained, admitting the experience left her “panicked.”
Despite the sudden mishap, LeAnn Rimes quickly ran to the side of the stage to reinsert her teeth and made the choice to continue the show.
“Then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off,” she said.
“And so, for the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in.”
Her candidness has drawn praise from fans online, many applauding her professionalism and sense of humor in handling the awkward onstage moment.
