Controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has issued a stern warning to gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, accusing her of manipulation after she followed him on Instagram.
VDM, known for his no-holds-barred commentary, claims that Chinwo’s social media move is part of a calculated public relations strategy to sway public opinion amid her ongoing royalty dispute with her former label, EeZee Conceptz.
In a viral video, VDM alleged that Chinwo was attempting to patronize him and vowed to block her if she continued.
“I noticed that Mercy Chinwo followed me on Instagram. I was surprised. The fact that she typed my name and followed me made me suspicious,” he said.
“Later that evening, I saw that the MD of EeZee Conceptz retracted her statement against Mercy Chinwo. Mercy Chinwo, you cannot follow me. I will block you. You cannot patronize me.”
VDM went on to accuse the gospel star of bullying EeZee Conceptz into retracting public statements and denounced her alleged actions as deceptive.
“You have bullied EeZee Conceptz. That is why they are retracting their statement. I don’t associate myself with evil, especially those disguising themselves as gospel artists.”
The outburst follows Coach Nancy’s public retraction of allegations against Chinwo and confirmation that settlement talks between the artist and label head EeZee Tee are currently underway.
The incident has added a fresh layer of tension to the already heated drama surrounding one of Nigeria’s biggest gospel music stars.
